Comments:
I picked up a sad bastid tablesaw w/stand locally for $50.
The saw and stand were rusty and the miter gauge was missing but the table was in good shape.
I got it for the table and stand to replace same on a 22161 that was folded, spindled and mutilated by a local builder.
The 22161 could only get a couple of degrees close to 90 and the scary thing is I was told he built a few houses in the area with it. ==8-O
I wound up restoring most of the replacement.
It had the wrong speed motor so I used the 22161's 1/2HP Craftsman.
The 22161 had a good miter gauge, infeed roller and two good wings so them too.
I also used it's way cool machine turned faceplate.
I stripped the paint down to bare metal on the saw and stand.
I used Rustoleum primer on both.
The saw got Dem-Cote blue/gray and the stand got Rustoleum Professional black.
I cleaned all the innards, polished the polishable and shaved/polished/waxed the table.
Add mahogany throat plate and stand sides and make some dust.

I made a crosscut sled, auxillary fence with splined miter setup for picture frames and a miter jig for it.
I tuned it and tuned it and got it accurate enought to make some nice fine woodworking projects.
It's stayed accurate from the time I dialed it in.
