This is not mine. It's a model of Silver post drill that I'm not familiar with - that is to say, it's not in any catalogue or advert I've got copies of (which makes it post-1916, I believe).

It looks to be a very basic model - single speed (no attempt to even have a reverse crank on the flywheel cog); one piece table. And it looks like an attempt by Silver Mfg Co. to modernise their range. The classic curvey spokes etc have been done away with. The auto-feed mechanism looks interesting - it looks like the arm/lever may pivot off the flywheel shaft; and the pawl is a massive thing about 4 inches (or more) long.

Model No. 668? At three digits, that number appears too short for a part number (the part numbers on the No.21, 22, 23 & 24 all being 4 digit numbers in the 2000 series). Note the number "4284" cast into the crank gear.
