Model 5110 Gap Bed 12" WOOD LATHE - Reconditioned
One of the best heavy duty all cast iron wood lathes from the early 1950s, and completely refurbished to excellent functional and aesthetic condition.

Features SKF Double Row deep groove ball bearings and new Gates HD V-Belt for another lifetime of wood turning pleasure! Changing speeds is incredibly easy and fast with no tools, thanks to an ingeniously designed cast iron motor mount with lever activated cam to release belt tension - motor mount assy slides on two rails into lathe bed from underneath, making the motor assembly and lathe an integral unit for precise belt alignment. Walker Turner is known for its liberal use of cast iron, heavy railed thick castings mean no vibration - so important for accurate turning. This lathe is as smooth as they come - at all speeds. Original Cat No. 390C30 cast iron leg open stand with original rock-maple butcher block tables refinished to silky smooth with pure Linseed Oil, just like it came out of the Plainfield New Jersey factory 52 years ago. Top it off with original Walker Turner die cast toggle switch, all new electrical SJO neoprene power cords, and our special blend Walker Turner original color matched enamel.
Original equipment Walker Turner Driver Line 1/2-HP Single Phase electric motor. Electric motor totally rebuilt with new ABEC 1 bearings.
