I bought the machine from a 94 years old man. When I asked him where the machine came from, he said from a wood shop which used to be on the corner of "Des Écoles and St-Jean" In Drummondville Qc. The plant is long gone but I went to Drummondville Historical Society. They told me the wood shop belonging to J.A.Nadeau was sold in 1925 to Gustave Mercure, a wood merchant. At the time they were making doors and windows in addition to drums for silk and cotton. In 1955, 33 employees were working there. In 1960, Mr. Mercure shut down the plant, nobody to take over.
