Acquired from a gentleman who claimed this motor was installed on a shaper before.
It was wired for 220V and had a 110V connector.
I asked the question on the forum and a knowledgeable person responded that in those years, some plugs were the same for both volatges.
I suspect someone was finding the motor performance deceiving...
