Comments:
My Dad bought this at a farm auction in 1972.
Press has sat in corner gathering dust for many years,Cleaning up now, still turns lots of wear and tear, very dirty job wirebrushing and polishing casting removing old grease, paint layers and dirt now, and refurbing pulley assemblys,

it also needs shaft babbitt maintainance,

4 babbit bearings need repouring on top and lower shafts assemblys, and quill keyway needs a buildup and recutting. Not sure of babitt alloy specifications yet,

Fresh primer and paint going on now. Drill has a unique factory upper electric motor mount plate on top in the back which looks original and different from other models pics I've seen so far.

Electric motor is now clean and needs to go into for bearing service or armature shaft cleaning, brushes and inspection service etc.

Most parts are intact but self feed mechanism has a "missing top shaft hub and a back gear assembly" for belted 1" upper self feed drive assembly. Which i am in need of locating?

Upper and lower shaft dissassembly completed, lower pulley assembly primed painted and reassembled,

Priming and painting hammered gray/silver paint, now base and table support removed priming now, frame recleaning tomorrow polishing casting,

Painting lettering red and numbers thereafter, more numbers are still being uncovered on many wirebrushed parts, but the number# 466 stamped in about 3 or 4 places so far.

Guessing these machines were gray?

What is the approx date of manufacture?

Any help, literature or advice on this machine is appreciated.
