Comments:
Acquired a few years ago from original owner's son. Original owner was a machinist, living in the San Francisco Bay area, who did a lot of contract work for the U.S. Navy. The saw came to me along with a garage-full of other items, including a LeBlond 12" tool-room lathe; for which I have posted a photo and information on this vintage machinery website. This saw is in regular use by me. It uses 12" x 1" blades, which are difficult to find, so I use longer blades, and use my oxy-acet torch to burn a hole through each end, then I clean up the holes, and mount the blade.
The photos show the present condition of this still-being-used saw, and the adjustment setting as shown is for long stroke use. I do not know if the motor is original. Over-all, the saw is in very good usable condition, the paint is original, as is the rest of the machine, near as I can tell.
