Comments:
I picked up this lathe from a fellow who bought out an old pattern shop with a bunch of other woodworking machines. It was used to turn wood, primarily. The ways have seen better days and are dinged up, but aren't ruined. The machine is quite tight and moves smoothly. I think it living in a pattern shop probably saved it from the rigors of daily metal working. It is sporting a Lima Electric 4 speed motor that is not working right now. I'm going to crack it open and see if there is anything salvageable. If not, I'll have to come up with counter-shaft set-up. I plan on giving her a good cleaning and a quick tear down of the apron to inspect its guts and get her back running.
