Comments:
10-13-2014 - original post. Acquired from a local C*list add; PO had purchased at an auction, and had no further information on it.
This is documented in the catalogs on the site, but no other examples exit.

This grinder has a 1/4 HP GE motor and an old-style riveted link-belt as the drive belt.

Other than missing the platen that is documented in the catalogs, it is complete and functional. A neat function of this machine is that it works as a vertical belt grinder, but also can be moved to a horizontal position for flat grinding.

[Admin note: This belt grinder is covered by patent 2,507,372, which was issued on 1950-05-09. Since the label says "Patent issued", it may date between when Porter-Cable was notified the patent was to be granted but before they learned the actual patent number. That would put it within a couple of months either side of the issue date.]
