This saw showed up on CL, First time I have seen a J D Wallace band saw and thought it was pretty cool looking so I sent a email to seller. Set up a time to go pick it up. It was about a hr away. The seller had no history of the saw. These saws use a direct drive motor that runs through a gear reduction box. Saw is in great original shape and runs very smooth. It has a 1/2 hp single phase motor.

It even has the original paper sticker on the inside of the lower wheel cover.
