I just picked up this Beautiful band saw from a gentleman in Deforest Wi., just above madison. He has a beautiful old building, and is a collector of very very interesting old collectables. He was gracious enough to show me his living space and his remarkable collections.

Dimensions of machine are: Total ht. is: 32 1/2", width of wheel: 12"- thickness of wheel 3/4", maximum ht. of cut 4 1/4", table top size is: 14" wide by 12" deep by 3/4" + thick.

Anyway...((( In the casting is a name of a manufacturer.))) "SCOTT*BANSBACH.MACH.Co." This manufacture does exist, I just heard from the historians that the gentleman was a distributer of machinery in Chicago in the twenties. He may have contracted out this machine to have been made. May have been manufactured by "Heston Anderson, or Boice Crane, or ????. This machine is somewhat similar to a "Boice Crane", but the wheel tensioner is quite a bit different, as is the rest of the machine actually. Another bandsaw exists in the unknown listing that might be a match. It is submitted by "Dan Grade" If anyone can add to this listing, please feel free.
