I purchased this lathe from the widow of the PO from a CL ad in PA before I moved back out west. She was the sweetest woman you would ever want to meet. I spent a few hours talking with her and looking at some of her husbands other tools and machines that she had finally decided to part with after several years of his passing. Her asking price was a little high on the lathe for the condition it was in but she really wanted me to have it. We aggreed on a price and then I purchased every single piece of tooling and accessory that she had. She was so tickled to get rid of so much and appreciated the cash. I returned the next day with my brother and good friend with lots of cash and we all but cleaned her out. She was again so thrilled and was enjoying our company and loved having the cash to do some long awaited projects and shopping. We got lots of hugs and agreed to stay in touch with her and check in on her from time to time. I thoroughly enjoy meeting so many fantastic folks in my pursuit of old arn.
