My Father-in-Law was a contractor in the Essex Center area of Vermont. He bought this tool which he used in his business after deciding the farming life in Vermont was to variable. He retired due to health reasons during the 70's. I was restoring a historic home in Vermont and his daughter, my (then wife) picked it up for me in 1984. I've had it and used it ever since on a total of 3 historical home restorations. The most recent is an 1898 Victorian in New Bern NC. The only thing I have done to it was to change out the power cords.
