We bought this I don't remember exactly where, in Montreal, about 30 year ago as part of our then business. It has the good Canadian built, wood-working machine look, feel and reputation, before Rockwell got their hands on the brand. Cast aluminum construction, including the entire upper and lower wheel cover, make it light yet strong. The cover is held shut with 2 heavy-duty spring loaded cast-alloy snap-clamps- one above and one below the table. The 3 bars motif, appears on these clamps as well as on the back of the saw.
The blade wheels combine the necessary rigidity, but can accelerate faster because they also are of aluminum.
One nice feature to have on this saw was the original fence rails and cast iron ripping fence. (but I'm missing the mitre gauge :-(.
It stands 46" high, and has a home made small steel stand underneath to bring the table up to height.
Compare what Rockwell did to this justifiably famous Canadian brand in the last photo- of an ersatz "Beaver" bandsaw.
