Comments:
This unknown drill press was spotted for sale locally, and then visited for inspection and review. It is believed to have been made roughly in WWII years, perhaps homemade or as a one-off in a foundry or machine shop. It is extremely beefy, weighs well over 100 lbs, and has extraordinarily low spindle/chuck runout. The homemade pulleys did not match up, however, so the belt was not able to be successfully changed from one setting to another and then run. On the mid-speed setting, it worked very well.
