Comments:
I started in the patternmaking bussiness in 1979 and used this lathe for about two years until we got an Oliver 24, the biggest of the big. The F&E has babbit bearing that spin great. It has wood pulley's attached to a steel shaft, a knob at the back of the lathe adjust endplay. The jack shaft also has wood pulley's and a spoked drive pulley. One faceplate is original and we just made patterns for the other sizes and then had them machined to fit the F&E spindle. One faceplate has a male adaptor for mounting the faceplates horixonally in a vertical stand.

Comments: F&E late with everything, could use a paint job, but that wouldn't make it run any better.
