Just acquired this saw, was destined for the scrap yard. It was part of a middle school wood shop that was decommissioned 10 years ago, the saw has since been sitting in a shed. I work in the district, so I decided not to repaint it, whomever had painted it green did a great job.
The cast iron base has the "foot" of the left side cut off (or it snapped at some point). Still sturdy and no wobble to it.
3/4 hp Delta motor on it, seems original to the machine.
Rewired for 110v, new switch (more in line with the time), and I added a toggle for the light too. Not thrilled with the switch plate, so I'll change that when I get time.
This saw runs beautifully, compared to a newer Jet 14" band saw, this Delta puts it to shame, can't believe how nice it really is.
