A wonderful circa 1883 John A. White post band saw in the collection of OWWM member David Lamb. This is a 48 inch machine and could be ordered as shown or with powered feed roles for resawing. Note the nice builder's plate which White used on many of his earlier machines and the company's production number, 665 stenciled just above it. Many of David's machines manufactured by White have production numbers on them giving a nice sequential history to his collection. When he finds it's final resting place in his shop he'll cut the opening in the floor necessitated by the placement of the lower wheel.
