The 8-B I have was made in 1951 and shipped to the Better Built Door Company in Egg Harbor City, NJ. The building in which the 8-B was housed burned in 2010. It is unclear when the Better Built Door Company went out of business. I purchased the planer from an individual in Rochelle, VA in 2014

Parts from it were piled in the back of my truck to make the trek home.

The planer came with new sprockets, bearings and chain. The gentlemen selling it was in the process of rebuilding it when I bought it. He sold it due to health issues.

So far the only thing I know that is missing is the jointer for the side cutters. Not sure where I am going to find one of those.
