I rebuilt this bench grinder for a coworker; he purchased it some years ago from a local business. I replaced the bearings and cord and repainted everything ( the closest match to the original paint I could find was Rustoleum stainless steel appliance epoxy paint). The pedestal is not original and has no makers or casting marks.The badge reads," Albertson &Co Inc.", which appears to date the grinder to the fifties , at the latest.
This grinder is really first rate. From the independent dual work lights and articulated too rests to the cast iron spark arrestors and dust collection ports, this tool was meant to see hard service for a long, long time.
