This uncommon model was spotted on kijiji. Seller Mike Di Ioia kindly provided permission to reproduce the photos here.

The 1951 General price lists shows the model 580 jointer in 12" and 16" versions, priced at $982 and $1080 respectively when equipped with 3 HP motor and starter. By comparison, the model 180 6" jointer was $148 complete.

By 1971, the Model 580 was gone; in its place were the model 780 and 880 12" and 16" jointers.
