Just found this....(I believe to be:) A "Wilbar" table saw, made in Philadelphia, at a flea market in Wisconsin that was basically a give away. Less than a inexpensive glass of beer. This site shows this saw sitting on a metal base to include a motor. This did come with a very old peerless motor that works. The casting has no markings, except a crude "I" mark on flat part of base. Saw is in very good condition. Ht. of blade is set by adjusting ht. of table top which is hinged from back; a wheel under the table locks a crude piece of metal rod which top then sits on. Appears you can tilt table side to side as well by adjusting a nut in the back. Also includes a metal flap to allow saw dust clean out. Very very well built. Arbor is affixed. Arbor also has an exposed oil port. If anyone would like to contribute to this posting, please feel free.
just cleaned an painted the saw as the original paint was not existent except for the under side of table top...Saw blade may be original as it is a Henry Disston and Sons, with a very interesting football shaped etch. Can easily read bottom portion of etch, but not the top. The table saw is very very well made and has machined surfaces where parts meet. The table top does in fact tilt.
A blog has been started comparing this saw to a "Boice Crane" saw and others. Thank you for taking an interest!
