This machine came out of northern Michigan . I finally got around to powering up this machine. After a little cleaning and adjusting the machine runs very well. I was suprised as the previous owner had no idea if this machine would even run. I took a chance and sometimes you can come out on top. This bandsaw will not win any beauty contests however ,it performs as well as the 2 other newer 217's I have. It is interesting to see some of the design elements that have changed in the later years. Motor and bearing are good. Paint scheme was poorly done. At the price I paid it was well worth the time and effort. The upper wheel is the standard spoked wheel of this vintage time frame.
