Comments:
This cast iron shaper frame had most recently served as a base for a logan metal lathe and the seller would not separate the two. The spindles and spindle yokes are long gone and there is an ugly weld repair to the far end. Still a nice looking and uncommon fragment of a machine. UPDATE - A year later the seller returned with the shaper - much time invested in cleaning and reworking the weld and minus the lathe. He enjoys auto restoration which shows in his attention to detail. Under the black paint appearing grime was found the original green and yellow pin striping. It is a close match to John Deer green which vindicates my choice of that color when painting my
R M & Co planer matcher. The machine is now in my possession.
