Comments:
This saw was seen at the G&H Cabinet auction in Worcester, Mass, in 2004. Although it bore a cast-iron nameplate with the name W.H. Field, it is clearly a saw by Atlantic Works and probably cast during the later years when Berry & Orton ran the show. This is based upon the letters "B" and "o" the prefixed the part numbers on the casting components. The saw had wood rims and a 14" rubber strip had been cemented over that.
Also unique for the saw was the fence and what appears to be the original wrench hanging from hooks at the rear of the machine. This was a very nicely kept machine and a very difficult one to pass on, especially at the auction price of $125.
