Comments:
This motor accompanied my 1935-39 Delta Double Duty steel bed 11" lathe (see separate entry); I do not know that they were used together; the pulley on the motor was not the standard stepped lathe motor pulley, although the motor and the lathe appear to be contemporaries. My date attribution (1938) is based on the "E 38" in the Motor No. field on the motor plate - I haven't researched this thoroughly, however. The motor was mounted on rails to so it could be moved from machine to machine (discussed at: http://www.owwm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=118807#p800621). There are traces of bright blue paint on the rails.

I've cleaned, repainted and installed new bearings. The original bearings were: New Departure, ENDEE 8013 (extended race). The Accurate Bearing replacements are: 87013.

Edit 6/4/2022 - Remove "Capacitor Start Motor" from description - no capacitor in base or elsewhere; assume it's a split phase motor.
