These are legs removed from a Lathe and Morse type #0 horizontal milling machine. I was not able to confirm this HMM was from L&M until after the mill was gone! I had loaded pictures onto OWWM a number of years ago to see if someone could verify the mill was indeed a Lathe and Morse without success. I did find that towards the end of their existence L&M did indeed sell milling machines. They were mainly known for their lathes.

My reason for deciding it was a L&M HMM is that the spacerblock used between the mill and legs has been precisely machined, too precise to be handmade as an adapter to mate the machine to the legs. Also the paint from the legs, machine and adapter are original and the same color.

The machine is still in use by a local bicycle frame maker.
