I found this one on a popular listing website. The price was nominal but the condition was questionable. After arriving at the prior owners home, I discovered that the machine was complete. It has a number of differences from the other Solem 12 inch planer on the site. I will point these differences out as I go along with the restoration. As I was breaking down the machine, to get it out of the back of the SUV, I noticed all of the parts were in good shape the bearings were also in good shape, considering that the planer had sat outside for the past 5 years. The motors are 1 1/2 hp 3 ph Allis motors, and it has a modern 3 knife with gib cutter head.
