> Atlas model 1040 with serial number 022899. It was a bench model as I purchased it from Motorola in Scottsdale Arizona about 10 years ago, they were disposing of unused equipment. I have since converted it into a floor model and I did a minor refurbishment it with a new coat of matching battleship gray paint and I rewired it because the original wiring was frayed. I was told the drill press was originally sold to the Ford Motor Company and was used to manufacture parts for the B 24 Liberator bomber
