I picked this post drill up at a farm auction about 25 years ago for $35. It has its original board, stenciled "PKG 94", on the back, and "101" on the front. The drill is OD Green W/99% of its original paint on it. On the back of the board, a stapled tag, printed with a type writer, "From Engineer Supply Officer Pasco Central Depot Pasco, Washington. Contents to: Jack Zidell 925 SW Front, Portland 4, Oregon Voucher 31355-1 Pkg 94. Zidell Ship builders were located in Portland for many years. The "Pasco" depot, was the old "Spokane Portland & Seattle Ry, route, long gone & taken over by BNSF. This post drill was probably shipped from the Umatilla Army Depot in eastern Oregon from auction to Zidel ship builders before the first world war. The most amazing thing is how did that little OD Green wrench (in the first pic) stay with the drill for a hundred years? A cool piece of history.
