I bought this machine in 1985 from my family's iron works, the S. J. Creswell Iron Works, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when the firm--started in 1833 or 1835--was closing down. The Iron Works had a copy of a 1916 Landis Threading Machinery catalog, from 1916, of 78 pages, which I obtained at the same time. The machine is shown in the catalog.

Wired up and installed with a single to two phase converter system (with three other two phase machines, a pedestal grinder, a drill press and a lathe) this was used in my Lincoln, Vermont shop, from 1985 'til 1998, and is now stored. The machine photograph shows the bolt cutter as it was in that shop circa 1990.
