A 1H.P. T&M from 1912. Originally powered a pump manufactured by the marine division of Termaat & Monahan. The company specialized in marine 2 cycle engines, branching into 4 cycle "farm" engines in 1910. I acquired it after my uncle put an electric motor on the pump & discarded the engine in 1955. Many T&M engines were badged as Gray Motor Co of Detroit, and can be identified by the unique single weight governor, and an enigmatic "29" cast on the cam side of the block.
The engine depicted now powers a portable line shaft shop which I demonstrate from May through October at Steam Tractor shows & Living history museums
