T&M 1HP from 1912 powering a portable line shaft shop, demonstrated every-other weekend around south central Michigan from May through October. Features a lathe, a Buffalo Forge post drill, table saw, tool grinder & burr-mill. Engine came as a pumping unit, my Uncle kept the pump & discarded the engine in 1955, I took it home. Termaat & Monahan was primarily a mfr of 2 cycle marine engines, the Hit Miss engines were also sold by Gray Marine with their badge. The Marine engine operation was renamed Universal Marine in 1912, and is still in business. The 4 cycle line kept T&M until disappearing after 1922.
