Comments:
I received both of these grinders from other members; the older of the two came from bznupe, the later one from Brian Kachadurian. The early 116's had cast iron wheel guards, but by the end of the 50's they had become steel stampings. In 1960, Brown Brockmeyer fell by the wayside and Wissota grinders were rebadged by Porter Cable. I use these fraternal twins as my lathe chisel sharpening system, reserving the older grinder with cast guqrds for the grinding wheels, and running felt wheels on the later unit. I like these grinders, but the original B.B. stamped weldment inner flanges had to be replaced, as the wheels wobbled noticeably with them in place. A little time on the metal lathe, and the grinders run smoothly. I need to scrounge up some eyeguards for the one that called the top bunk
