Yet another Rockwell/Delta 14" band saw. This one is school surplus from Gridley, CA high school, an eBay purchase. The price was decent so I took a chance and bought it sight unseen (except for auction photos); I think I may have gotten lucky. It seems in pretty decent shape; a few fasteners missing or replaced, but all major components seem to be present and intact. The Baldor 1/2 HP motor runs, with a Delta LVC controller (which is new for me). I was surprised to see a controller on a fractional HP motor, but hey, what do I know? I will replace bearings in the wheels and motor, try to clean and comprehend the LVC controller, and put it into service as a replacement for my Craftsman 12" band saw. This Rockwell/Delta saw just barely precedes the much-discussed Rockwell "Peace Sign" era; it was produced in 1973 per the serial number, and the "6-26-73" cast into the back of the arm.
