This planer came out of the Boston School of Architecture in about 2006. It sat in a garage for 8 years until the previous owner decided he was not going to make use of it. It was exposed to moisture in the garage and got rusty. When I acquired it in December 2013, I tore it down, removed the rust, replaced the bearings and changed the gear oil. It came with a 4 HP three phase motor. I acquired a VFD, mounted the VFD in the base and got it up and running.
