EBay purchase in 2005. No further history is known.

Sears Craftsman 50" flexible shaft with ½-20 threaded arbor.
At this time, we haven't determined the identity of manufacturer source 239.
The motor coupling has a 5/8" bore with a 1/2" reducer sleeve.
Speed range is listed from 1750-3600 rpm.
I primarily use this flex shaft for machine restoration, with 6" wire and buffing wheels.
2007:
Disassembled, lubricated and cleaned up the unit.
Used ball bearing grease to coat the flex shaft cable.
Used SAE10 oil in the ball bearing housings.
2014:
Connected to a ½hp 3450rpm Craftsman 397.19821 motor.
Built a scrap plywood carrier for the motor to sit on the bench or suspend from a hook.
