This drill press was left in a closed plant in Connecticut that belonged to a family company that manufactured a small line of woodworking tools. It sat under a leaky roof for some years until it was rescued by an owwm member. I bought it and brought it back to my shop where it sat for the better part of a year until I found time to work on it. The previous owner had painted it with a thick coat of green textured paint which was peeling badly. I stripped all the castings down to bare metal and repainted with Delta colors. The motor was 3 phase, so I found a single phase version of the original motor to replace it with. The table raising gears were stripped and their housing cracked, so I found a donor table bracket with good gears in it. I replaced the spindle and motor bearings. The original cast metal belt guards were broken and I don't plan to replace them. Over all the press is in good shape. It has the gear segment and splined shaft for a foot feed, but none of the other parts.
