I acquired this drill press thru an EBay auction in July of 2006. I traveled 432 miles round trip to pick it up in Fort Wayne, IN. It was formally used in a business/factory setting for mainly metal drilling. Since purchase it's been sitting motionless in a dark corner of my basement shop collecting dust. I had a Delta 15" 6 x 6 drill press that was my daily user. Recently an opportunity came along to sell the 6 x 6 for a nice profit so I let it go since I had the VS model to replace it. Other than a good cleaning to remove years of dirt, grim, oil, metal chips, etc. this press was in remarkable condition and pretty much ready to be put to use. Items I added or replaced were the electrical cords, Craftsman articulating lamp, tilting table, black switch plate cover, chuck key holder (fabricated) and HTC mobile base.

This drill press came equipped with the rack and pinion (non-tilting) production style table. Since I will primarily use the press for woodworking I wanted a tilting table. I was able to pick up a NOS table (via EBay again) and added it as shown in the pictures below. The tilting table can be swung out of the way and the production table brought up if I ever needed/wanted to use it.

Oh, in case you're wondering the drill press is not in my living room but rather in a partially finished section of my basement, outside of the workshop. My workshop is presently much too cluttered to get good/decent pictures.
