It evidently was first owned by the U. S. Navy at Kodiak, Alaska, and the next was the U. S. Department of the Interior at Juneau, Alaska. I acquired it by a bid, in about 1985. This machine is the most solid table saw I've ever seen and works very well. It's weight is 975 pounds. It has a 5 hp 3 phase motor, which I run on 240v single phase via a Smith Motor Works static phase converter.
