A Saturday drive in the country lead to a true Barn Yard find. This lathe was removed from a local High School and left outside in the harsh Ontario elements for 20 years. Needless to say everything was rusted and seized.
My focus on the restoration was to bring it back to working condition. Based on the fact there are no replacement parts available, I had to blend new with old.
Specs are: 1hp motor-mounted on 4 vibration isolators, 6 speeds available, modern safety on-off switch, L.E.D.worklight,attached upper tool rack, extra lower shelf for tool storage.
The wood used : Walnut and Cherry
