I don't know much about the machine. The last owner was an incredible man and father to a very close friend of mine who also happened to be an avid astronomer. I am certain he used this lathe to make parts for the several telescopes he owned. When his father passed, the "clean out" resulted in me being the caretaker of this rig . I am very fortunate to have it!
