I believe this saw has been in the family since it was originally purchased and that it was purchased at the same time as a Powr-Kraft lathe and belt sander which I also still have. It has not been set up to run since 64' except for a brief stint in the late 80’s. I finally put it in a permanent position to run at the start of 2014. I did not like the way the cam was set up to rub against the block without any provision for permanent lubrication, so I built a brass wheel for the cam to run in: no rubbing between cam and block, the cam has a large bearing to run in, and lubrication is provided. The wheel is the only alteration that I know of; other than that, I’ve only cleaned and lubricated it. I can’t say that I’ve used it yet for anything other than a test run, but it worked quite well in the test, and it’s fun to see in action.

Pulley side view, the motor is not original, but of that era.

Front underside. The 1936 saw had a compass around the pivot bolt for the table.
