Grinder came out of an old machine shop. Picked this up off eBay, and took a drive north of Indy to get it. Well worth it, an excellent unit with all the original parts, including the lamp with shade. All wires had to be replace, including the motor feed wires. They were brittle and cracked when touched. The cast iron pedestal base had rust corrosion on the lower portion of the base. The unit looked like it had water used extensively on it for tool grinding and they just let it run on the floor. Motor received new bearings, MRC still makes them. The motor tag was very corroded and took a couple of days to just make it presentable. All the other tags and placards were fine. The unit runs extremely smooth without the grinding wheels, but when you add them, some vibrations start to show up. I had to re-clock them and swap out one to get it smooth again. All in All, a great project!
