Purchased February 2013 in Houston, TX. It was mounted on a home-made plywood box. Missing the blade guard, othervise complete and running, includes a fence and a miter gauge.
The old gentleman I bought it from said his father got the saw right after World War II in a barter from some lady. She got a set of tires for her car in exchange for the saw (tires and other rubber products were in short supply during the war). The saw had a newer motor (from 1960's, I think), but right after I loaded the saw I found the original craftsman repulsion motor in a dumpster on site. The bronze bearings were stuck, but I was able to restore it.

Based on the casting and position of some of the holes, I believe it is an early production, most likely made in 1937
I replaced all bearings, stripped the gray paint and repainted blue, replaced the missing blade guard, made a replica if the base out of MDF and put the motor on a hinge mount in the base. Also made a belt guard out of MDF.
