Found this 900 Series drill press complete in western Pa ON OCT 2012. Not a bottom feeder price but to find one this complete, slo-speed, orig. 1/2hp motor, foot feed, table/head raise, mortising attachment w/chisels.. so what price would one pay, drove 2hrs and 300 later. Finished the restoration in Dec 2012.. added the vimco light,Driver for/rev switch ( offered in early 30~s per Driver Line catalog`s), fabricated a plate to mount all item`s together,machined new handles from 304 stainless round on metal lathe to match an original the PO wasn`t able to loose, changed to the tilt table to mount the mortising fence ( seller had related mortise parts in a box, never used? ) replaced all bearings and painted..
Overall a great running DP, I have not tried to mortise hardwoods as of yet but performed well in pine..
