I removed the original headstock and made this one. I raised the tailstock to meet the new headstock which can take a 26" inboard diameter. Woodturning is what its latest purpose is, mostly large bowls. The ways are prismatic and not flat like the woodowrking lathese I have seen on this site.
I know its very old - original headstock had plain bearings and flat belt dirve.
I don't see any identifying marks, but this same machine is in a woodturning book and described as an Oliver pattern makers lathe.
