Machine was purchased from Tom Boise from Bristol, Vermont in December of 2013. Tom purchased it, along with other machines, from Keith's Machine Shop located in Brandon, Vermont. I believe the machine shop closed its doors and there was an auction.
Information off the grinder's tag: Serial: 503778, hp: 1, RPM: 1,500-1,800.
The base has its own Black and Decker tag with the following information: Size: 10, Type: A, Serial: 62732

Note the brass tag on the stand "J. Chein & Company". A google search indicates J. Chein & Company was an American toy manufacturer in business from 1903 through the 1980s. It is best remembered today for its mechanical toys made from stamped and lithographed tin produced from the 1930s through the 1950s. I'm guessing this grinder may have began it's life in a toy factory.

Any additional information would be appreciated. Sorry for the poor photos. I will take some better ones when the temps are above zero.
