I bought this lathe from a consignment shop in Michigan. I needed another lathe for a job I was doing and this one looked pretty good for the price, $520.00. Overall it was in decent shape, but I had to put at least another $600 in new parts into it before it would run right. So far I've replaced the crossfeed screw nut, a leadscrew bearing, the carriage gearbox frame and several gears in the carriage. I also replaced the drive pulley back to the original 2 step pulley for a better variety of speeds. Overall it's a pretty good lathe, but if you're in the market for one of these, be prepared to replace a lot of worn and broken parts. Atlas wasn't well known for using the best materials all the time. The pictures show what it looked like when I first bought it and after a fresh coat of paint. The color is Rustoleum Metallic Cobalt Blue.
