Purchased from an estate sale in Portage, PA on July 22, 2004. The saw is in excellent working condition with moderate cosmetic wear. The interesting thing about this saw is that the ID plate on the motor is from Whirl-A-Way Motors Inc., rather than A.O. Smith. A.O. Smith purchased Whirl-A-Way Motors Inc. in 1950.

The Multiplex radial arm saw was originally produced by Red Star Products Inc. The company was acquired by Rockwell in 1948. This acquisition got Rockwell into the Radial Arm Saw market. Red Star used the brand name "Multiplex". Delta/Rockwell's radial arm saws were originally Red Star Multiplex designs.
